The new instruments of urban transformation of the city and its registration in the Land Registry.

Abstract

Historically, our urban planning legislation has been characterized by the deficient regulation of instruments that allow the urban management of consolidated urban land. Since Law 8/2007 this complex issue has been dealt with in a special way in successive state and regional regulations, as is the case of the recent urban planning legislation in Andalucia. This study analyzes the new techniques and instruments that, in the execution of actions to improve the existing city, allow the equitable distribution of benefits and burdens, as well as the obtaining of public facilities, demonstrating the importance of the registry institution to achieve the objective of a compact, diversified and sustainable city.
