The object of this brief commentary is to make a few points about comparative advertising, particularly the conditions comparative advertising must meet in order to be considered acceptable. Reference is also made to some cases where comparisons are only used to disparage a brand or take advantage of a brand's reputation and therefore must be disallowed.
