URBAN SUBLEASEAbstract
The sublease is a lease made by the lessee of a leased thing. The nature of a sublease is that of a new contract between the lessee and the sublessee that in no way alters the terms of the original lease. This paper analyses how subleases are regulated in the Urban Lease Act. It distinguishes between a housing sublease and a sublease for non-residential uses, which are defined in articles 8 and 32, respectively, and it analyses the requirements of and laws pertaining to each.
