DOUBLE NATIONALITYAbstract
Nationality is a legislation attribution criterion, as it is impossible for a single person to be subjected to different national legislations. Hence, in the cases where double nationality does exist, rules must be established to regulate the personal statute of the person in question. Article 9.9 envisages several different situations of double nationality, establishing different solutions and distinguishing between double nationality situations provided for in Spanish laws and double nationality situations not provided for in Spanish laws (when one of the nationalities involved is Spanish, or when both are foreign).
