Abstract

The assignment of exclusive custody of a minor to one of the minor's parents does not give the custodian parent the power to change residence without prior consent from the non-custodian parent or, in lieu thereof, supplementary authorisation from the courts. Continuity in the assignment of the guardianship and custody of certain children to their mother, despite her moving abroad, as a consequence of the minors' stronger maternal bond, and taking of the necessary measures to maintain the children's current relationship with their father as much as possible by granting him broad visiting rights.
