Abstract

In these lines the author endeavours to sketch a portrait of how the Directorate- General of Notarial Affairs has been interpreting Act 2/1994 of 30 March over the years. The initial interpretation was restrictive, in keeping with the exceptional nature of the circumstances envisaged in the law, but of late the interpretation has been observed to relax grudgingly.
