LEASE OF BUSINESS PREMISESAbstract
This paper analyses the problem of leases for business premises made under legislation prior to and in force at the entry in force of the current Urban Lease Act. The objective realm of the ULA's transitional provisions envisages the rules applicable to such leases: There is to be an examination of the leases' duration and subrogation (with a distinction being made depending on whether or not the contract is under legal extension and whether the tenant is an individual or a legal person), the updating of rent and the rights of the parties to the contract. All these points are of great importance from the practical standpoint.
