Abstract

The current importance of public registrars in different countries' legislations is beyond dispute. However, it is important to gain a grasp of where public registrars are situated within each system. Like the German Rechtspfleger, the French conservateur, the Italian registrar and the Spanish liberal professional registrar, these public agents have their own unique configuration in Peru. The idea of the text revolves around situating the figure of the public registrar within Peruvian law (taking the discussion concerning comparative historical law as the reference point) in terms of the type of state, the public administration and its relationship with public agents.
