Abstract

The one-year statute of limitations established in article 1968 of the Civil Code must be respected. It is therefore unextendable. No interpretation may be made such as to include cases of justifiable interruption, even when the delay in entering annual demands concerning non-contractual liability is minimum. Case law cannot through interpretation repeal the legal institution of extinctive prescription.
