Abstract

One case of matrimonial mental reservation is the marriage of convenience, whose focus of intent is to secure permission to stay in the country, access to the job market and Spanish nationality, without any intention of discharging matrimonial duties. This is a case of a null matrimony due to lack of matrimonial consent under section 73 of the Civil Code.
