LA LIBERTAD DE TESTAR EN DERECHO COMPARADO.
Keywords:
FREEDOM OF TESTATION, COMPARATIVE LAWAbstract
This author proposes to give readers a panoramic overview of the breadth of freedom of testation that other countries currently recognise. As the author is unable to address the unique features of all foreign jurisdictions, the author is confined to roughing out four legal families (Islamic law, Anglo-Saxon law, Nordic law and Roman/Germanic law). The author then broadly defines marriage law and the law of succession in each group. As an appendix, the author includes a more detailed summary of the marriage regime and reserved portions in the countries akin to ours (Europe and Latin America).
