Consumer protection in timeshare accommodation.

Abstract

 In the last few years, we have realised a reduction of the number of contracts which has as object the acquisition of the called timeshare accommodation. Among other factors, it is clear that the number of court decisions that have declared the void of some contracts is not helpful to proliferate them and has dissuaded entrepreneurs.

The law —european and national— and the case law show as an eagerness to protect the consumer in timeshare contracts. Recently Supreme Court has laid the groundwork for some important matters to resolve disputes between consumers and entrepreneurs in timeshare contracts.
