Abstract

The holder of any right has the legal power to waiver or relinquish it. when this right is exercised regarding real estate assets, abandon- ment occurs, and the immovable property becomes State-owned. The confusing administrative regulation is problematic from a civil law perspective, and further complicates the registry situation of abandoned property, giving rise to challenging situations for property registrars to solve.
