Family relationships are one of the fundamental pillars of our Civil Law. Ethical limits in the exercise of subjective rights, such as good faith, the doctrine of estoppel, the prohibition of abuse of rights, and equity as a criterion for weighing the application of legal norms, have a clear scope of application in these family relationships (parental authority, custody, family responsibilities, child support, spousal support, compensation for domestic work, allocation of the use of the family home, and division of marital property). This study will explore the interoperability of these legal concepts within the family sphere. To this end, we will examine the different concepts mentioned and then their application in the field of Family Law as indicated.
