This contribution reveals the new and recent regulations of industrial design in the European Union and is particularly relevant in its connections with new technologies in the configuration, application, as the representation of industrial design. Additionally, we it is analyzed 3D printing and the handling of artificial intelligence as there are limits to the possibilities that can be used in this way of industrial production and as it contributes to the digital transformation policy demanded by the European Union, in order to compete with the big economic blocks and incentivize society of knowledge.
